am a PhD student and am ask what kind of statistical analysis that i need to do to validate my methodology, in the part of performance study i want to do some statistical work, i need guidance on this part because i got comment from some evaluators to do some statistical work ( my area is frequent pattern and association rules mining).

You could read section 6.7 of the book Introduction to Data Mining:

Section 6.7 is about evaluating patterns and talk about statistics and the limitations of confidence and support.

I think that it may partially answer your question.

You could also search on Google Scholar to see what other people have done.
