Which algorithm is good to use for tennis.txt rather than ID3 (in GUI version)?
I tried most of the algorithm for tennis.txt but non of them works.

Also, which algorithm(s) do you suggest for text dataset?

1) in SPMF, only ID3 can be run on tennis.txt. The reason is that SPMF is a library that offers few classification algorithms. It is mostly specialized in pattern mining.

2) Which algorithm for text datasets? It depends what you want to do. If you want to do clustering of texts for example, there is an algorithm for that in SPMF. But there are many other things that may be done with text.

As in documentation you said this Example is not included in release of SPMF.
So how i can run ID3?

ID3 and the tennis example are included in the source code version of SPMF. You can download the source code from the download page of the website and then follow the instructions for installing the source code:

Then, as described in the example about ID3 in the documentation, you will need to run the file "MainTestID3.java" in the package ca.pfv.SPMF.tests.

This will run the example with the file "tennis.txt".

The file "tennis.txt" is located in the package ca.pfv.spmf.tests of the project.

Can anyone please let me know how to calculate the accuracy of the ID3 algorithm through Java code?

To calculate the accuracy, what you need to do is do a loop where you try to predict the class of multiple records (instances).

You need to count how many records are correctly predicted.

Then you divide the number of correctly predicted record by the total number of records used for making predictions.

So you just need to write this in Java to get the accuracy.
