Similarity between sequence of events

Hi,

I need to find the similarity between sequence of events in order to group them. As you know there are some metrics like Edit Distance, LCS ,....
I need an open source tools that implement this kind of algorithm.

Can you introduce any tools in this domain?

Thanks

I think it is a very interesting topic to cluster sequences. I personnally don't know any work on this topic but some people have certainly work on this perhaps in bioinformatics to cluster sequences of proteins or other kind of sequences.

If you search a little bit on Google Scholar you may find some works on this topic.

If you find something interesting, you can let me know and I could perhaps implement a sequence clustering algorithm in SPMF. I also think that it is an interesting topic.

Best,
